NFL Week 7 Opening Lines Report

Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

With Week 6 in the books, the attention now shifts to the seventh week of the season. We’re nearly halfway through the calendar but we’re still having a tough time separating the contenders from the pretenders as 25 of the 32 teams are between two and four wins. We’ll see if some of the teams can separate in Week 7. Here are the NFL Week 7 Opening Lines:

Tennessee Titans vs. Los Angeles Chargers (in London)

Opening Line: Chargers -6.5

The Titans and Chargers both continue to sway from good to bad and back. The Chargers enter this week having won three straight while the Titans have lost two straight.

Carolina Panthers at Philadelphia Eagles

Opening Line: Eagles -4

The Panthers were lucky to beat the Giants two weeks ago and then lost at Washington last week. They’ll face their third NFC East opponent in a row when the visit the Eagles on Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings at New York Jets

Opening Line: Vikings -3

The hot-cold Jets are hot again, winning two straight games while scoring a healthy 76 points in the process. Meanwhile, the Vikings will face a rookie quarterback for a second straight week after beating Josh Rosen and the Arizona Cardinals last week.

New England Patriots at Chicago Bears

Opening Line: Patriots -2.5

The Bears stunk up the joint after their bye week, losing on the road to the Brock Osweiler-led Miami Dolphins. Their bright 3-1 start could be a forgotten memory if they lose in this spot and fall to 3-3.

Buffalo Bills at Indianapolis Colts

Opening Line: N/A

We’ll have to wait and see the status of Bills quarterback Josh Allen for this contest. While he’s been so-so at best, the Bills would be in even worse shape if Nathan Peterman were to start in this spot.

Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Opening Line: Buccaneers -3

The Browns had their worst showing of the season in Week 6, getting blown out 38-14 at home by the Los Angeles Chargers. They’re now a field goal underdog on the road in Tampa Bay.

New Orleans Saints at Baltimore Ravens

Opening Line: Ravens -3

One of the marquee matchups of the week will see the Saints return off their bye to visit Baltimore. These are two of the top teams in the NFL right now.

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins

Opening Line: Redskins -2

Surprisingly, this will be a battle for first place in the division. The Redskins lead the NFC East at 3-2 but the Cowboys, who are 3-3, can pull ahead with a win.

Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers

Opening Line: N/A

We don’t have a line here yet as the 49ers play on Monday Night Football. However, the Rams should be favored by nearly two touchdowns. This will be their third straight road game in this spot.

Cincinnati Bengals at Kansas City Chiefs

Opening Line: Chiefs -6

This is a matchup of two of the top teams in the AFC. The Bengals are off a stinging loss to the Steelers and another loss here could ruin a lot of the good will they earned in the first month of the season.

New York Giants at Atlanta Falcons

Opening Line: Falcons -4

Two struggling teams square off in this contest. The Giants are fresh off an ugly loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday Night Football where the team was booed off the field. Meanwhile, the Falcons saved their season with a very narrow win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
