NHL Picks: A big Tuesday in the NHL includes the Philadelphia Flyers visiting the Chicago Blackhawks in a game that can be seen on NBCSN. The Flyers don’t look to be improved at all this season as they are off to a slow start while the Blackhawks are a Stanley Cup contender. The Blackhawks are a solid home favorite in this one. Here is a look at all of Tuesday’s games and NHL picks.
Philadelphia Flyers at Chicago Blackhawks – The Flyers didn’t have a win after their first four games as they had four losses although two came in overtime or shootout so they did get two points. The team still doesn’t score a ton of goals as they average just 2.8 goals per game and they are awful on defense, allowing 3.5 per contest. The Blackhawks won their first two games of the season and looked like Stanley Cup contenders once again. In this series, the teams have split their last ten meetings overall with 7 of the 10 going over the total. The teams met twice last season with each team winning at home. Chicago has won five of the last six at home in this series. We’ll look for Chicago to win this game on Tuesday night.

San Jose Sharks at Boston Bruins – This is not a great spot for the Sharks as it is the last game of a four-game road trip and the third game in four days.
Toronto Maple Leafs at New York Islanders – The Islanders have played really well to start the season as they are in the top 5 in goals per game. This one could be a high scoring shootout.
New York Rangers at New Jersey Devils – These two rivals oftentimes play low scoring games but the Rangers haven’t played much defense this season so the Devils might be a better play rather than the total.
Detroit Red Wings at Montreal Canadiens – The Red Wings are normally a very live underdog so they could be worth a shot at a price.
Carolina Hurricanes are Winnipeg Jets – This one should be a low scoring contest.
Arizona Coyotes at Nashville Predators – This is another one that might end up 2-1 or 3-2 and go under the total.
Vancouver Canucks at Dallas Stars – The Stars should be able to win this one at home.
Tampa Bay Lightning at Calgary Flames – The Lightning could end up as road favorites in NHL betting odds in this contest.
Florida Panthers at Colorado Avalanche – The Avalanche haven’t played that well so far this season but this is a game they should win.
