North Carolina Central Eagles vs. Florida A&M Rattlers Betting Prediction

The Eagles are hoping for a better outcome after their 74-64 loss to the Bethune-Cookman Wildcats in their last outing. Bethune-Cookman’s effective field goal percentage was their largest advantage over North Carolina Central. The Wildcats had a rate of 0.466 (below their season average of 0.488), while the Eagles posted a mark of 0.346 (below their season average of 0.522). Zacarry Douglas played well for North Carolina Central, recording nine points and 14 rebounds.

The last time the Rattlers took the floor, they easily got past the North Carolina A&T Aggies, 63-39. Florida A&M was 6-15 on three pointers (40.0 percent), while North Carolina A&T was just 2-21 (9.5 percent). With 12 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks, Isaiah Martin played well for Florida A&M.

After the Rattlers won the only contest against the Eagles last season, 65-56, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. The Rattlers knocked down 10 of their 12 free throws (83.3 percent) and had a much better turnover percentage (11.5 vs. 17.5).

The offense of Florida A&M (333rd in the country with an offensive efficiency of 94.3) will battle against the elite defense of North Carolina Central (66th in the nation with a defensive efficiency of 96.9). The Eagles figure to have the advantage on that end of the court. It could also be a sloppy game for the offense of the Eagles, which ranks 334th in ball security (turnover percentage of 23.1 percent). They’ll be going up against the stingy defense of the Rattlers, which forces the 33rd-most turnovers in the NCAA (22.6 percent).
