North Dakota Fighting Hawks at Omaha Mavericks Betting Prediction

In the Fighting Hawks’ last outing, they beat the Western Illinois Leathernecks, 74-73. North Dakota’s 26.3 offensive rebounding percentage was their largest advantage over Western Illinois, who had a mark of 19.5. The Fighting Hawks’ mark was above their season average of 23.8, while the Leathernecks’ was below the 26.6 mark opponents have averaged against North Dakota this season. North Dakota rallied around Cortez Seales, who finished with 17 points and 15 rebounds.

The Mavericks were beaten by the South Dakota State Jackrabbits in their last outing, 83-73. South Dakota State’s effective field goal percentage was their largest strength over Omaha. The Jackrabbits had a rate of 0.613 (above their season average of 0.589), while the Mavericks posted a mark of 0.500 (below their season average of 0.555). With 14 points and 15 rebounds, Mitch Hahn put together a good performance for Omaha.

The upper-echelon offense of Omaha will face off against the mid-tier defense of North Dakota. The Mavericks currently rank 32nd in effective field goal percentage (0.552), while the Fighting Hawks are 159th in effective field goal percentage allowed (0.497). The Mavericks should have the advantage on that end of the court.

This is the second game of the season between these two teams. In the first, the Fighting Hawks lost 92-91. Conner Avants scored a game-high 24 points and also had six rebounds. Omaha won the rebounding battle. The Mavericks had more offensive rebounds (15 vs. nine), defensive rebounds (27 vs. 22) and total rebounds (42 vs. 31).
