Northern Colorado Bears vs. Wyoming Cowboys ATS Prediction

In the Bears’ last outing, they defeated the Denver Pioneers, 88-72. The Bears had a better free throw rate (0.141 vs. 0.061), while the Pioneers had a turnover percentage of 18.0 (above the 13.0 mark opponents have averaged against Northern Colorado this season). Northern Colorado received a boost from Jordan Davis, who was the team’s leading scorer with 25 points on 10-for-20 shooting.

The Cowboys fell to the Evansville Aces in their last outing, 86-78. Evansville’s 10.5 turnover percentage was their biggest advantage over Wyoming, who had a mark of 18.4. The Aces’ mark was better than their season average of 17.2, while the Cowboys’ was above their season average of 14.1. Justin James had a solid performance for Wyoming, leading both teams in scoring with 34 points on 11-for-24 shooting.

The Bears won the sole contest against the Cowboys last season, 91-84. The Bears had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (21.1 vs. 10.0) and had a better turnover percentage (12.7 vs. 16.8).

There should be a fair amount of transition offense in this matchup that features two of the nation’s more up-tempo teams. Wyoming ranks eighth in possessions per game (75.6) and Northern Colorado is 32nd (73.6) since the 2017-18 season.
