It will be a battle between Big 10 opponents when the Indiana Hoosiers (10-7, 3-2 Big 10) welcome the Northwestern Wildcats (11-7, 2-3 Big 10) to Assembly Hall. The game gets underway at 12 p.m. ET on Sunday, January 14, 2018.

Northwestern Wildcats vs. Indiana Hoosiers ATS Prediction

The last time the Wildcats played, they blew out the Minnesota Golden Gophers, 83-60. Northwestern’s offensive rebounding percentage was their biggest strength over Minnesota. The Wildcats had a rate of 33.3 (above their season average of 29.3), while the Golden Gophers posted a mark of 14.6 (below their season average of 35.3). Northwestern received a boost from Bryant McIntosh, who had 11 points, 16 assists and five rebounds.

The Hoosiers defeated the Penn State Nittany Lions in their last outing, 74-70. The Hoosiers held the Nittany Lions to an offensive rebounding percentage of 17.2 (below their season average of 33.6) and had a turnover percentage of 11.2 (better than their season average of 15.9). Juwan Morgan was Indiana’s high scorer with 21 points on 8-for-16 shooting.

Expect this one to be a clinic on boxing out as two of the NCAA’s top rebounding teams go head-to-head. The Hoosiers currently rank 40th in offensive rebounding percentage (34.9 percent), while Northwestern ranks 42nd in defensive rebounding percentage (75.2 percent).

Northwestern has a respectable 11-7 straight up (SU) record, but they struggle covering the spread (6-9 against the spread (ATS)). Of the Wildcats’ 15 games with betting action, eight have finished under the total.

Meanwhile, Indiana is 10-7 SU and 8-7-2 ATS. Contrary to Northwestern, a little over half of Hoosiers games have finished over the total.

After splitting two games last season, these teams will battle for the first time this year. The Hoosiers won the most recent contest 63-62. Indiana had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (36.1 vs. 25.6). Northwestern, on the other hand, had a much better turnover percentage (8.2 vs. 20.5).
