Northwestern Wildcats vs. Iowa Hawkeyes Free Prediction

In the Wildcats’ last game, they were topped by the Penn State Nittany Lions, 59-52. Getting to the charity stripe was one of Penn State’s biggest advantages. They made 26 trips to the line, while Northwestern went just seven times. Dererk Pardon was the top scorer from either team with 18 points on 8-for-14 shooting.

The Hawkeyes beat the No. 25 Indiana Hoosiers in their last game, 77-72. Iowa had a better turnover percentage (11.8 vs. 16.5). Indiana, on the other hand, did a great job of converting from the free throw line (13-18; 72.2 percent). With 21 points and seven rebounds, Iowa’s Tyler Cook put together a solid outing.

This matchup pits one of the NCAA’s top offenses against one of its elite defenses. Iowa ranks 15th in offensive efficiency and Northwestern ranks 57th in defensive efficiency.

This is the second game of the season between these two squads. In the first, Joe Wieskamp scored a game-high 19 points and the Hawkeyes topped the Wildcats 73-63. He also put up seven rebounds. The Hawkeyes made 21 of their 26 free throws (80.8 percent) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (30.6 vs. 19.4).
