The Oakland Golden Grizzlies (11-14, 7-5 Hor) travel to Northern Kentucky to play the Norse (19-6, 9-3 Hor) in what should be a high-scoring game. The game begins at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday, February 9, 2019.

The last time the Golden Grizzlies played, they were defeated by the Wright State Raiders, 76-62. Wright State’s rebounding was their largest advantage. The Raiders had more offensive rebounds (11 vs. four), defensive rebounds (25 vs. 23) and total rebounds (36 vs. 27). Brad Brechting put together a solid game for Oakland, contributing 16 points and 10 rebounds.

The Norse won big over the Detroit Titans in their last contest, 97-65. The Norse had a ridiculous offensive rebounding percentage of 48.4 (above their season average of 30.3) and had an effective field goal percentage of 0.652 (above their season average of 0.557). Drew McDonald led Northern Kentucky in scoring with 20 points on 8-for-9 shooting from the field.

This will be the second game of the season between these two squads. In the first, Xavier Hill-Mais scored a game-high 32 points and the Golden Grizzlies beat the Norse 76-74. The Golden Grizzlies made 15 of their 18 free throws (83.3 percent) and had a better effective field goal percentage (0.598 vs. 0.563).

The high-powered offense of Northern Kentucky (23rd in the NCAA with an offensive efficiency of 114.4) will clash against the porous defense of Oakland (347th in the NCAA with a defensive efficiency of 114.0). The Norse figure to have the edge on that side of the ball.
