Odds To Qualify For The College Football Playoff Revealed

CFB

BetDSI Sportsbook has released its individual team odds for teams to reaching the College Football Playoff this upcoming season. The odds to win the championship have been up for a while but now BetDSI Sportsbook is allowing bettors to place bets on who will make it to the final four.

The top four favorites on the board include Alabama at -220 odds, Clemson and Ohio State at +125 odds and Georgia at +150 odds. It’s no surprise to anybody that those four teams top the list of contenders including the defending champion Crimson Tide. However, it’s worth noting that all four of those teams will have new starting quarterbacks including Alabama. There is no denying the talent that those four programs will field and as long as they each get decent quarterback play they should contend. However, if any one of those teams gets sub-par quarterback play including the Crimson Tide, they could stumble on their road back to the College Football Playoff.

Beyond those big four is where things get a lot more interesting. Michigan and Washington are listed at +300 odds followed by Auburn at +400 odds. The Wolverines have shown promise at times but there is nothing about their record under head coach John Harbaugh that indicates this team is capable of overcoming Ohio State in the loaded Big Ten. Meanwhile, the Huskies will have a difficult time emerging from the Pac-12. Perhaps the most confusing odds are that of the Tigers. Auburn is listed at +400 despite that they play in the same division as Alabama. The Tigers might be worth betting on at a better price if you think they could take down the Crimson Tide but at just +400 that’s a bit of a reach.

There are some other intriguing betting options to consider for college football futures right now. Notre Dame has an incredibly difficult schedule and at +700 odds they could be worth considering as a prime betting option. Meanwhile, Stanford and USC are both available at +1000 odds to reach the college football playoffs. The Pac-12 projects to be fairly loaded once again but both the Cardinal and Trojans could contend. At long odds, it makes sense to put some money down on Stanford and USC to reach the college football playoffs.
