Patriots Donald Trump Eagles Super Bowl

With the volatile nature of current United States politics and President Donald Trump’s open battle with NFL Players, there’s a real question as to whether the Super Bowl LII Champion Philadelphia Eagles will make their way to Washington D.C. to take part in the time-honored tradition of meeting the president.

Of course, this wouldn’t be the first presidential and cultural norm forever altered by Trump. He’s yet to throw out the first pitch in an MLB season.

In any case, BetDSI Sportsbook is offering odds on whether or not the Philadelphia Eagles will visit President Trump in accordance to Super Bowl champion tradition.

The New York Times reported yesterday that the team and the White House have been in correspondence regarding scheduling a date, but oddsmakers do not expect the visit to occur before the start of the NFL regular season.

Will President Trump rescind White House invitation to Eagles?

No -115

All those options are in play. We know for a fact that even if the Eagles do agree to make their way to Pennsylvania Ave, many of their players won’t make the trip. The acrimony between the team and Trump goes beyond the players. Team owner Jeff Lurie was a Hillary Clinton donor and has criticized the president with his fellow NFL Owners.

According to White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the issue with the Eagles and the White House is all about scheduling.

“We have been in conversations with the Eagles about timing and are working with them to make it happen,” Sanders said. “We hope to have something finalized in the next couple of weeks.”

Make no mistake, with Trump’s temper and lack of any type of social awareness, there’s a real chance he could just rescind the invite altogether.
