Travis Kelce told ESPN on Wednesday that he will join the Cleveland Guardians ownership group as a minority investor. Kelce said he grew up watching Cleveland baseball and called the move “I’m just a kid from the Heights living the dream,” according to ESPN.
Kelce was recently seen courtside at Game 3 of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ series against the New York Knicks alongside his fiancée, Taylor Swift, the report said.
Kansas City Chiefs teammate Patrick Mahomes acknowledged Kelce’s new role on social media by posting a clip of the tight end’s ceremonial first pitch at a Guardians game in 2023.
The video posted by Mahomes shows Kelce’s throw landing in the grass about halfway to home plate.
The social-media post followed Kelce’s announcement to ESPN that he would become a minority investor in the Guardians ownership group.
