Penn Quakers at Brown Bears Betting Prediction

The Quakers come in on a high note after narrowly defeating the Columbia Lions in their last matchup, 72-70. The Quakers made 21 of their 27 free throws (77.8 percent) and held the Lions to an offensive rebounding percentage of 8.0 (below their season average of 28.5). With 24 points on 8-for-12 shooting, AJ Brodeur was Penn’s leading scorer.

The last time the Bears played, they got blown out by the Harvard Crimson, 68-47. Harvard’s 0.628 effective field goal percentage was their biggest advantage over Brown, who had a rate of 0.337. The Crimson’s mark was above their season average of 0.548, while the Bears’ was below their season average of 0.523. Brown’s Obi Okolie finished with 12 points and eight rebounds in the contest.

After the Quakers won both games against the Bears last season, these teams will go head-to-head for the first time this year. In the last game, Penn won 99-93. Penn did a great job of getting to and converting from the charity stripe (24-30; 80.0 percent). Brown, on the other hand, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (25.7 vs. 19.4).

The offense of Brown will face off against the elite defense of Penn. The Bears rank 226th in offensive efficiency, while the Quakers are 74th in defensive efficiency. The Quakers figure to have the edge on that end of the court.
