The La Salle Explorers (0-9) are looking for their first victory when they go head-to-head against the Penn Quakers (7-2) at Tom Gola Arena. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, December 8, 2018.

Penn Quakers vs. La Salle Explorers ATS Prediction

In the Quakers’ last outing, they topped the George Mason Patriots, 72-71. Penn had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.611 vs. 0.483). George Mason, on the other hand, did an excellent job of converting from the free throw line (13-16; 81.3 percent). Penn was lifted by AJ Brodeur, who was the top scorer from either team with 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting.

The Explorers lost to the Temple Owls in their last game, 75-67. Temple out-rebounded La Salle. The Owls had 15 offensive rebounds and 50 total rebounds, while the Explorers had five and 28, respectively. La Salle’s Isiah Deas put together a good game, leading both teams in scoring with 23 points on 7-for-19 shooting.

The Explorers won the only game against the Quakers last season, 75-71. The Explorers knocked down 21 of their 26 free throws (80.8 percent) and had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (31.6 vs. 25.5).

The offense of La Salle will clash against the stingy defense of Penn. Dating back to last season, the Explorers rank 246th in offensive efficiency, while the Quakers are 24th in defensive efficiency. The Quakers should have the advantage on that end of the court.
