Liverpool previously had a €100 million bid rejected by Leipzig, who are believed to be seeking considerably more for the 19-year-old. BILD reports the Bundesliga club wants well over €130 million and remains intent on keeping Diomande, who is currently representing Ivory Coast at the FIFA World Cup.
Liverpool also face competition from Manchester United for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Felix Nmecha, TEAMtalk reports. The 25-year-old, a former Manchester City player, is said to be open to returning to England despite having signed a new contract with Dortmund earlier this year. TEAMtalk suggests a fee in the region of €50 million could prompt Dortmund to consider offers.
Chelsea are monitoring Liverpool playmaker Florian Wirtz with manager Xabi Alonso reportedly keen on a reunion with the Germany international, Football Insider reports.
