Antonio Brown’s feet are the hot topic of the weekend. The star wide receiver opened training camp on the Non-Football Injury list and has barely participated in team activities since. The Oakland Raiders haven’t released Brown’s injury, but it appears to be a foot issue. Brown is reportedly going to see a specialist to try to clear it up.

Brown posted an Instagram story showing severe blistering and skin-shedding on the bottom of his foot.

The problem appears to be on both feet, so this is something he’ll have a month to solve before the regular season begins. Head coach Jon Gruden would be smart to keep him up on blocks until they open the season on Sept. 9 against the Denver Broncos.

The Raiders acquired Brown from the Pittsburgh Steelers via trade on March 10 in exchange for a third and fifth round pick. Oakland immediately signed A.B. to a new deal, a three-year, $50.125 million contract with $30.125 million guaranteed.

His quarterback, Derek Carr, is sure everything is going to be fine with his new elite receiving target.

“You think every rep you miss is an important time …,” Carr told reporters. “We wish the healing process of whatever is going on (with Brown) will be fast. But at the same time, you can’t rush things for training camp when you know you have a season and hopefully a playoff run to think about. The trainers know way more than any of the players know.”

Brown is a seven-time Pro Bowler and four-time All Pro. Last year he caught 104 passes for 1,297 yards and an NFL-leading 15 touchdowns.

Oakland signs running back Mack Brown

After spending most of the last two seasons with the Washington Redskins, running back Mack Brown is switching coasts. The former undrafted free agent out of Florida was signed by the Oakland Raiders Saturday.

Brown has appeared in 13 games in his NFL career since 106, rushing 16 times for 111 yards and scoring one touchdown. To open the roster spot, Oakland cut rookie guard Lukayus McNeil.
