Raw Recap: Brock Lesnar’s Last Raw Appearance?

Raw Recap: Lesnar's Last Raw Appearance?
Photo from WWE.com

This is it: the final Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 34. Highlights from tonight’s show include Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins, John Cena calling out the Undertaker one last time, as well as Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle in a face-to-face with Stephanie McMahon and Triple H.

Ronda Rousey, Kurt Angle, and the Authority Face-to-Face
Jonathan Coachman starts the show to ask Ronda Rousey, Kurt Angle, Stephanie McMahon, and Triple H questions from Twitter when things quickly get heated. The two teams trash talk each other for a few minutes before only being asked one official question each. Right after their “photo op,” Triple H blasts Angle with a microphone before McMahon puts Rousey through a table.

Bayley vs. Sonya Deville (w/Paige & Mandy Rose)
To advertise the WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, Bayley takes on a familiar foe in Sonya Deville. Last week, Bayley brawled with Sasha Banks in the locker room.

After Bayley picks up a roll-up victory, she is attacked by Absolution. Banks makes the save and demands that Bayley raises her hand, but Bayley attacks her instead. Winner: Bayley

Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins
In six days, Finn Balor and Seth Rollins will face each other and the Miz, who will defend the Intercontinental Championship in a Triple Threat match. Balor and Rollins have been trying to outdo each other for weeks and this match could give the winner the edge. This could also give the winner momentum heading into the title match.

Balor and Rollins go the limit and have a hell of a match with nothing on the line. Rollins dodges the Coup de Grace and manages to capitalize with his patented Curb Stomp for the win. Winner: Seth Rollins

Woken Matt Hardy vs. Goldust
In this week’s obligatory Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal match, we see two of the strangest Superstars battle each other.

In his first match since the Ultimate Deletion, Hardy picks up a win over the Bizzare One. Winner: Woken Matt Hardy

John Cena Calls Out the Undertaker Again
For the last time, John Cena comes down to the ring to call out The Undertaker. He does everything he can to get the Undertaker to answer his WrestleMania challenge, but nothing happens. Before heading to the back, Cena says that he is going to attend the huge event as a fan.

Elias vs. Heath Slater (w/Rhyno)
Heath Slater interrupts a performance from Elias, making the Drifter a lot more frustrated than he needs to be. Slater gets some offense in early on, but Elias takes quick care of him. Winner: Elias

Alexa Bliss & Mickie James vs. Dana Brooke & Asuka
At first glance, this seems like the usual meaningless women’s tag match of the week. However, this could be the last time Asuka is on Raw is she defeated Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s championship at WrestleMania. For Alexa Bliss, she will have to defend her Raw Women’s Championship against Nia Jax.

Dana Brooke takes most of the damage for her team before Asuka gets tagged in and wrecks everyone. She counters a Thesz press into the Asuka Lock, forcing James to tap out. Winners: Dana Brooke & Asuka

Brock Lesnar’s Final Raw Appearance?
For the last time before defending the Universal Championship against Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar comes down to the ring with Paul Heyman. Heyman says that Lesnar will beat Reigns as usual, but if for some reason Reigns wins, this will be the last time that Heyman and Lesnar are on Raw.

Not long after, Reigns comes to the ring and both men brawl. This time, it is a completely even fight until Lesnar barely manages to escape after an F-5 to the Big Dog. The show closes and that is it for Raw until after WrestleMania.
