RBC Heritage Daily Fantasy Lineup

With memories of an epic final round to The Masters still very much present we will turn the page to this week’s RBC Heritage where the PGA Tour season will continue this week in Hilton Head, South Carolina. The field for this week’s tournament isn’t nearly as strong as a week ago and that could make it a little more difficult when building a winning roster in DraftKings tournaments. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings PGA tournaments.

Jason Day, $12,500

The world No. 1 didn’t have a good week by his standards at The Masters last weekend, but he stilled tied for 10th. In many other circumstances, we wouldn’t be criticizing Day, but when you consider that he went into the 2016 Masters Tournament as the favorite for the event and didn’t win, that disappointed a lot of people who were betting and playing PGA fantasy. The main issue really is not the 10th place result; it’s just that he wasn’t in contention to win it at any point.

But remember that his 10th place finish comes after he won each of the previous two PGA Tour events in the Match Play Championship and the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Day has finished in the top 12 in five of his seven events in 2016 and even though he wasn’t awful last week he is still looking to bounce back this week where he is clearly the best bet in a much weaker field than we saw at Augusta National.

Kevin Kisner, $9,700

Kisner lost in a playoff to Jim Furyk here last year so he will be looking for a measure of redemption when he arrives at Harbour Town. Kisner finally broke through with his first PGA Tour win at the RSM Classic last fall and he has already posted a pair of top-10 finishes to start 2016. Kisner really struggled in The Masters last week but we saw what that tournament did to a field loaded with strong players and Kisner’s game should be much better suited for success at the RBC Heritage this week.

Graham DeLaet, $8,200

DeLaet failed to qualify for The Masters so he should be well rested heading in to an event where there is every reason to believe he can contend for the outright win. DeLaet followed a T-5th at Copperhead with a T-11th at Puerto Rico and he seems to be trending the right away as he continues his pursuit of his first-career PGA Tour win.

Morgan Hoffmann, $6,700

Hoffmann has struggled early on this season but he finished in the top-10 at the RBC Heritage last year so he might be worth taking a chance on this week. He had a week off to watch The Masters and prepare for this tournament and after failing to make the cut at six of his last eight events he should be primed for a bounce back effort this week.

Nick Taylor, $6,500

Taylor tied for fifth at the Puerto Rico Open and he made the cut at the Shell Houston Open, so his form isn’t bad heading in to this event. He made the cut at this tournament a year ago before struggling over the final two rounds and finishing 74th, but at such a low price tag we don’t mind him in this spot to help us balance out our lineup. We just need a decent showing out of him.

Sung Kang, $6,300

Kang is our third straight play at under $7 K, but he put together four straight top 25 finishes earlier this season and could be a strong sleeper option this week at a very decent price. This will be his first appearance at the RBC Heritage, but if he can replicate the success he had earlier in the season, he could help put our lineup over the top in this week’s DraftKings PGA fantasy tournaments. We have to fit someone in our budget and he looks like a viable candidate worth a shot.
