Real Madrid has once again secured the top spot in the Deloitte Football Money League, achieving a record revenue of €1.2 billion (approximately $1.4 billion) for the latest fiscal year. The prestigious annual report, which ranks football clubs worldwide based on their financial performance, confirmed that the combined revenue of the top 20 clubs reached an unprecedented €12.4 billion (roughly $14.5 billion).
This marks a milestone for the industry, signaling strong financial recovery and growth following recent global economic challenges. Real Madrid’s position at the summit underscores the club’s consistent commercial strength, bolstered by its global fan base, successful on-field performances, and lucrative sponsorship and broadcasting agreements.
The Deloitte Money League, now in its 27th edition, evaluates clubs based on revenue from matchday sales, broadcast rights, commercial activities, and other business operations. Real Madrid’s revenue figure reflects a balanced contribution from all these streams, with commercial partnerships playing a key role in the club’s financial success.
The aggregate performance of the top 20 clubs also points to a broader positive trend in the global football industry. Multiple clubs from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga, and Ligue 1 feature in the rankings, illustrating the international nature of the sport’s financial ecosystem. Increased revenues from international broadcasting deals, digital media, and expanding global markets have helped several clubs improve their financial performances year over year.
While Real Madrid leads the list, other clubs, including FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, and Bayern Munich, have also posted strong revenue numbers, contributing significantly to the record-setting total. Deloitte highlighted that clubs have increasingly focused on long-term investments in infrastructure, digital transformation, and fan engagement initiatives to sustain growth and competitiveness.
This year’s record-breaking figures reflect not only individual club successes but also the resilience and commercial evolution of the football industry as a whole.
