The Boston Red Sox have reached an agreement to acquire third baseman Caleb Durbin from the Milwaukee Brewers, according to sources familiar with the transaction. The deal reportedly sends pitcher Kyle Harrison and two additional, yet unnamed, players to Milwaukee in exchange.

Caleb Durbin, who has primarily played third base in the minor leagues, adds infield depth to the Red Sox organization. Though he is not yet established at the major league level, Durbin has drawn attention for his strong defensive skills and consistent approach at the plate during his time in the minors. His performance has positioned him as a promising talent with potential to contribute at the MLB level in the near future.

Kyle Harrison, heading to Milwaukee as part of the return package, is a left-handed pitcher who has been regarded as a top pitching prospect. Harrison made his major league debut with the San Francisco Giants before his move to Boston and has shown a high strikeout rate and impressive mound presence when healthy. Though still developing, his pitching profile suggests he could be a long-term asset for the Brewers.

The identities of the other two players involved in the trade have not yet been disclosed, and it remains unclear whether they are major or minor league players. Teams often use this point in the offseason to reconfigure rosters ahead of spring training, and this trade underscores both clubs’ intent to shape their respective lineups and depth charts.

For the Red Sox, the move appears aimed at strengthening their infield versatility while potentially grooming Durbin for a larger role down the line. The Brewers, meanwhile, add pitching depth and future assets as they continue preparations for the upcoming season.

As neither team has officially announced the deal, details remain subject to change. Further information will be forthcoming once the trade is finalized and the involved parties have completed medical evaluations and formal approval processes.
