Redskins News: Dan Snyder Reportedly Evaluating Bruce Allen’s Status with Team

The Washington Redksins are not a good football team. That much has been obvious through 11 games this season in which they have gone 2-9, tied for the second-worst record in the NFL.

They tried to salvage whatever they had left this season by firing head coach Jay Gruden after an 0-5 start and naming rookie QB Dwayne Haskins as the starter, but it’s clear that a shakeup throughout the organization may be in order.

On Saturday’s edition of Good Morning Football, co-host Mike Garofolo commented that it appears as though Washington has hit “rock bottom” before iterating that after speaking with several sources connected to DC, that he believes “everything is up for evaluation in Washington,” including President Bruce Allen’s role with the team.

Allen was originally hired as Washington’s general manager prior to the 2010 season, and was promoted to president in 2014. Under his tenure, the Redskins have gone 61-93-1. Their only winning season came in 2012 when they won the NFC East after going 10-6 behind Robert Griffin III’s rookie of the year campaign. Any hope that season generated was torn away along with RGIII’s ACL in the playoff game against the Seattle Seahawks that year.

While Garafolo stressed that he doesn’t know for sure that Allen is on his way out of Washington, he did say that “Dan Snyder understands that something drastic needs to change.”
