The Owls come in on a high note after defeating the St. Leo Lions in their last contest, 80-64. The Owls had a much better free throw rate (0.379 vs. 0.196) and had a much better turnover percentage (14.4 vs. 25.9). Jack Williams played a pivotal role for Rice with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

In the Quakers’ last game, they barely escaped the George Mason Patriots, 72-71. Penn had a much better effective field goal percentage (0.611 vs. 0.483). George Mason, meanwhile, did a terrific job of converting from the charity stripe (13-16; 81.3 percent). AJ Brodeur was the top scorer from either team with 19 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field.
