AS Roma are reportedly preparing a €40 million upfront offer for Marseille striker Mason Greenwood, according to Corriere dello Sport. The 24-year-old, who left Manchester United in 2022, scored 26 goals in 45 appearances last season as he rebuilt his career in France. Roma are said to also propose a clause that would give Marseille a percentage of any future transfer fee.
Real Madrid and Arsenal are reportedly adjusting their plans after expecting Manchester United to sign West Ham midfielder Mateus Fernandes, The Sun reports. West Ham have set a fee of £80 million for the 21-year-old Portugal international, but Manchester United are hoping to negotiate a lower price following the Hammers’ relegation from the Premier League.
The Sun also notes Fernandes has become a key target alongside Manchester United’s reported pursuit of a £35 million arrival, Éderson from Atalanta. Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson is mentioned as likely to move to Manchester City as part of the broader market movement.
Interest continues in Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, with Nicolo Schira reporting that Arsenal and Manchester City are both tracking the 26-year-old. Newcastle are seeking around £100 million for Tonali after a season in which he impressed despite the club finishing 12th in the Premier League. Tonali has also been linked with Manchester United and AC Milan, though United reportedly pulled back on their interest.
Barcelona are said to be considering Bournemouth striker Junior Kroupi as an alternative to Atlético Madrid’s Julián Álvarez, according to Sport. While Álvarez remains a priority, Barcelona reportedly will not pay more than €100 million for a striker and Bournemouth value the 19-year-old Kroupi at that level; he has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
Florian Plettenberg reports Bayern Munich have finalised a package worth €55 million to sign Eintracht Frankfurt left back Nathaniel Brown, with details still being discussed over fixed fees versus add-ons. Plettenberg also noted Brown scored his first international goal in Germany’s 7-1 win over Curaçao. Separately, ESPN sources say Real Madrid have agreed a deal worth up to £51.8 million with Chelsea for Marc Cucurella, comprising an initial £47.4 million plus up to £4.3 million in add-ons.
