The Padres are only 17-28 SU and have gone 20-24 against the spread (ATS). They’ve lost 5.1 units for moneyline gamblers in this young season and 10.9 units ATS. The Pirates are handing the ball to righty Ivan Nova (2-3, 5.01 ERA), who has 39 punchouts and eight walks to his name, as well as a 1.35 WHIP. Nova made two starts against the Padres in 2017, compiling a 0-1 record with a 4.09 ERA and 11 strikeouts.
