San Francisco Dons – Loyola Marymount Lions Preview – 02.20.2016

The San Francisco Dons will be at Albert Gersten Pavilion to play the Loyola Marymount Lions in a West Coast matchup. Action starts at 4:00 pm ET on Saturday, Feb. 20.

The Lions are hoping for a better outcome after their 76-72 loss to Santa Clara on Thursday. Brandon Brown had a good game in defeat for Loyola Marymount, recording 20 points and 10 assists to earn his first double-double of the season. The Dons, meanwhile, are coming off an 82-72 win against Pepperdine on Thursday. Ronnie Boyce III was the game’s top scorer, accumulating 25 points on 12-for-18 shooting.

Tim Derksen has been on a tear for the Dons, averaging 21.6 points, 9.0 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.2 steals, and 2.0 three-pointers over the past five games.

This will be the second matchup of the season between these two teams. The Lions won the first game 87-83. David Humphries had a standout performance in the victory, putting up 20 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and six three-pointers.
