Seahawks News: Russell Wilson and Seattle Survive Monday Night Thriller Over Vikings

NFL

The Seattle Seahawks are very good, but they win in a little different fashion then some of the NFL’s dominating teams. Think about it: Seattle is constantly squeezing out last minute wins with big plays from Russell Wilson.

On Monday Night Football against the Minnesota Vikings, things followed suit.

Wilson and his band of rogues on offense found a way in a 37-30 victory. Moreover, Wilson threw for 240 yards and two touchdowns. While Minnesota made a valiant charge, Wilson made just enough plays in the end to win. Just as he has done so many times this year in a tight spot.

Equally important, the win moved the 10-2 Seahawks to first place in the competitive NFC West over the San Francisco 49ers.

This game was a great watch – not only because of all the points – but there were many twists and turns from beginning to end.

Seattle seemed to hold a commanding lead at 34-17 with just a little over a quarter to go. However, the Vikings cut the deficit to 34-30 and got the football back with 3:00 to go and all three timeouts. Then, Kirk Cousins missed a receiver on fourth down that allowed Seattle to get the ball back and run the clock mostly out before kicking a field goal that sealed the victory.

Perhaps you haven’t heard of David Moore, but this play will have everyone talking on Tuesday.

Looking around the league, Baltimore and New England among others win in a little different way then the Seahawks. Whether you like them or dislike them, you can’t deny the 2019 version is plenty entertaining. All of this is possible because of the man under center, Russell Wilson.
