The Seattle Mariners will take on their division rival Oakland Athletics at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. The action will begin at 3:35 p.m. ET and fans hoping to watch it can tune in to NBC Sports – California.

The Athletics are 25-24 SU and 23-25 ATS. The team’s gained 4.7 units for bettors taking the moneyline while earning 4.7 units against the spread (ATS). Oakland has covered the spread four times in its last seven games and the under has hit in three of those seven. The Mariners are 29-19 SU and have gone 26-21 ATS. As a unit, Oakland’s pitchers have yielded 4.6 runs per game overall in 2018. The club’s starters have an ERA of 4.31, a WHIP of 1.19 and a strikeouts-per-nine of 7.1. The bullpen has a 3.82 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 8.2 K/9. In 28 games against AL West foes, Athletics starters have an ERA of 4.89 and the bullpen’s ERA is 4.24.

Oakland’s hitters are putting up 4.6 runs per contest, including 3.5 per game against divisional foes and 3.8 per game over their last five. The team’s hit .229/.282/.366 over its last five matchups and is 3-2 SU during that stretch.

Second baseman Jed Lowrie and shortstop Marcus Semien have led the charge for the Athletics’ hitters this year. Lowrie is slashing .319/.389/.537 with nine home runs, 37 RBIs and 20 runs scored, while Semien’s line is .274/.319/.396 with five homers, 24 RBIs and 34 runs.

In the other dugout, Seattle’s pitchers have allowed 4.3 runs per game and its starting pitchers own a 4.35 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 8.14 K/9. The bullpen has an ERA of 3.74, along with a K-per-9 of 10.25.

Mariners hitters have slashed .254/.324/.418 on their way to 4.5 runs scored per game this season, including 4.0 runs per game against divisional foes and 3.8 per game over the team’s last five outings (5-0 SU).

Shortstop Jean Segura and right fielder Dee Gordon have led Seattle’s hitters. Segura is hitting .308/.327/.443 with three home runs, 33 RBIs, 33 runs and 11 steals, while Gordon (.304/.330/.386) is up to one homers, 13 RBIs, 25 runs and 16 steals.

Putting up a slash line of .264/.305/.364 across 233 such plate appearances, Segura did not seem to enjoy hitting against righties on the road last year (compared to his overall season slash line of .300/.349/.427).

The Athletics have gained 3.6 units and are 14-17 ATS when facing a righty starter. The over has hit in 18 of those games, compared to 12 that’ve gone under.
