Sent to Kenyon for NCAA Regional Rounds: W&L Men’s Soccer

Washington & Lee will travel to Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, for the Division III Men’s Soccer Championship Round of 16 and Quarterfinals, as announced by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

 

Against Saturday, November 19, at 1:30 pm, the third-ranked Kenyon will take on the 22nd-ranked Generals at Mavec Field. Following the Williams vs. Ohio Northern game at 11:00 AM, W&L and the Owls will meet in the second game of the day. The NCAA Quarterfinal matchup between the winners of the two Saturday games will take place at 1:00 pm on Sunday. The NCAA Semifinals, which are scheduled to take place at Kerr Stadium in Salem on December 1, will be attended by the final unbeaten team from the regional location.

In men’s soccer, this will be Washington and Lee and Kenyon’s first encounter. W&L is now 16-2-4 overall and is making its fourth Round of 16 participation in the last five years. The Owls, who are 18-1-1 overall, defeated Greenville and Calvin in their opening two games of the tournament by a total score of 10-1.
