Shakira has released a preview of “Dai Dai,” the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the report says.
The report says the 49-year-old Colombian artist collaborated with Nigerian singer Burna Boy on the song, which is scheduled for release on May 14.
According to the report, Shakira shared a one-minute clip on social media in which part of the song can be heard as she performs alongside a group of dancers at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracanã stadium.
The report notes that this will be Shakira’s second official World Cup anthem, following “Waka Waka” (This time for Africa), which was featured at the 2010 tournament in South Africa. The report also points out that she previously performed “Dare (La La La)” and “Hips Don’t Lie” at the closing ceremonies of the 2014 and 2006 World Cups, respectively.
Per the report, Shakira is a four-time Grammy winner. The report also mentions her personal connection to the sport: she shares two children with former Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué, a World Cup winner with Spain.
The report says the 2026 tournament will be held in Canada, the United States and Mexico, and that it will kick off on June 11 in Mexico City.
