The LSU Tigers (13-3, 3-0 SEC) put their six-game winning streak on the line when they take on the South Carolina Gamecocks (9-7, 4-0 SEC) at Pete Maravich Assembly Center. The game starts at 6 p.m. ET on Saturday, January 19, 2019, and will air on SEC Network.

South Carolina Gamecocks vs. LSU Tigers Betting Prediction

The last time the Gamecocks played, they topped the Vanderbilt Commodores, 74-71. South Carolina won the rebounding battle. The Gamecocks had 12 offensive rebounds and 35 total rebounds, while the Commodores had seven and 28, respectively. South Carolina was led by A.J. Lawson, who was the top scorer from either team with 24 points on 8-for-14 shooting.

The Tigers beat the No. 18 Ole Miss Rebels in their last contest, 83-69. The Tigers had a phenomenal free throw rate of 0.351 (above their season average of 0.272) and held the Rebels to an effective field goal percentage of 0.469 (below their season average of 0.571). With 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks, Kavell Bigby-Williams played well for LSU.

After the Gamecocks won the lone game against the Tigers last season, 83-74, this will be the first matchup of the year between these two teams. South Carolina did a terrific job of getting and making free throws (23-28; 82.1 percent). LSU, on the other hand, had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (37.8 vs. 28.6).

It might be a mistake-prone game for the LSU offense. LSU ranks 266th in the nation in ball protection (turnover percentage of 20.4 percent), while the disruptive defense of South Carolina forces the 44th-most turnovers in the nation (22.7 percent).
