BETIS vs. GIRONA

3-Way: 1: Betis +114; X: +277 Draw; 2: Girona +280 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread -0.5: Betis +110; Girona -112

Total +3: Over +120; Under -120

BETIS

The Big Greens had a great start of the season, but their form is descending in the last couple of weeks, and they won just once in the previous six La Liga matches. In the previous round they were heavily beaten by Eibar on the road, 5:0, losing all key battles on the field. It was their third defeat in the last five games, fourth on the road this season.

After the first twelve rounds of the Spanish La Liga The Big Greens are laying at the ninth spot of the table with 17 points, a 21:25 goal difference, and a 5-2-5 record. They were excellent at the home soil, recording four victories, one draw and one defeat with a 15:10 goal difference, while on the road they have earned four points out of six matches with a 6:15 goal difference and a 1-1-4 record. Betis has a lot of problems at the back from the start of the season, and their defense is the second worst in the La Liga.

The 21-year old talented striker Antonio Sanabria is the team’s leading scorer with seven goals in 11 appearances, while the 28-year old forward Sergio Leon bagged four goals in ten games this season. The Mexican midfielder Andres Guardado is the best assist-maker with six dishes in 12 apps, while the winger Cristian Tello made three assists in nine games thus far.

The manager Quique Setien is certainly upset after a heavy defeat in the last match, and he’ll demand a more responsible job from his players. For the next game against Girona, he’ll be without Zouhair Feddal (leg injury), Joel Campbell (sprained ankle), and Aissa Mandi (red card suspension).

GIRONA

Girona continued with good displays this season as they earned a draw against Real Sociedad at home, 1:1, in the previous round of the Spanish La Liga. Since the 2:1 defeat against Villarreal in the eighth round, they won three matches in a row (against Deportivo La Coruna, Real Madrid, and Levante) before they drew with Sociedad last weekend.

After the first twelve rounds of the Spanish La Liga Girona is sitting at the 11th place with 16 points, a 14:17 goal difference, and a 4-4-4 record. At home, they have earned eight points with a 7:10 goal difference and a 2-2-3 record, while on the road they have recorded two victories, two draws, and one defeat with a 7:7 goal difference.

The 31-year old striker Cristhian Stuani is enjoying his time at Girona, and he’s the top scorer with seven goals in ten appearances this season. The 25-year old attacking midfielder Portu is also in a great form, bagging three goals and making one assist in 12 matches thus far. The striker Olarenwaju Kayode and the midfielder Alex Granell are the team’s best assist-makers with two dishes apiece.

The manager Pablo Machin doesn’t have any serious injury worries, and he can count on all players for the next match, besides the centre-back Bernardo Espinosa who has to serve the yellow card suspension.

BETIS vs. GIRONA – Match Prediction

Girona is in the nice form, while Betis isn’t playing well recently. The visitors recorded two wins in a row on the road, and they will be searching for another three points. With all Betis’ problems at the back, I think we’ll see a thrilling match with some goals on both sides.

MY PICK: Over 3 goals (+120)

LEVANTE vs. ATLETICO MADRID

3-Way: 1: Levante +700; X: +300 Draw; 2: Atletico Madrid -156 at BetDSI Sportsbook

Spread +1: Levante -112; Atletico Madrid -130

Total +2: Over -125; Under +127

LEVANTE

The Frogs put an end to their winless string of six games in the Spanish La Liga with the 2:0 victory over Las Palmas on the road in the previous round. They were pretty lucky to keep the clean sheet against La UD, but after they’ve broken the deadlock in the 71st minute, they easily bagged another goal just eight minutes later. It was their third win of the season, first on the road in five matches.

After the first twelve rounds of the Spanish La Liga, The Frogs are sitting at the 12th spot of the table with 15 points, a 14:15 goal difference, and a 3-6-3 record. At home, they have earned nine points with a 9:8 goal difference and a 2-3-2 record, while on the road they have recorded one victory, three draws, and one defeat with a 5:7 goal difference.

The 22-year old attacking midfielder Enis Bardhi and a 30-year old winger Jose Luis Morales are Levante’s leading scorers with four goals apiece, while the winger Ivi bagged two goals in ten appearances. Ivi and Morales are the team’s top assist-makers with two dishes each.

The manager Juan Muniz is still having some serious injury problems among the squad, and for the next match, he’ll be missing strikers Roger Marti and Alex Alegria, and the right-back Ivan Lopez due to cruciate ligament ruptures, while the midfielder Jefferson Lerma is suffering from a muscle injury.

ATLETICO MADRID

Atleti finally scored two goals in one game as they’ve beaten AS Roma, 2:0, in the UEFA Champions League Round 5 last Wednesday. They put on a great performance against tough Roma side, and the French star Antoine Griezmann scored one of the most beautiful goals this season with a magnificent acrobatic left-foot volley.

In the previous round of the Spanish La Liga, Atletico Madrid played a nil-nil draw with Real Madrid at home, and now they are laying at the fourth spot of the table with 24 points, a 16:6 goal difference, and a 6-6-0 record, ten points behind Barcelona at the top of the table. Their defense is the second best in the La Liga, while they have some serious issues in the final third.

The 22-year old Argentinian winger Angel Correa is leading his team with four goals and one assist in 12 appearances, while the Belgian international Yannick Carrasco added three goals and three dishes in nine matches this season. Antoine Griezmann disappointed the fans so far with just two goals and two assists in ten appearances. The 30-year old striker Kevin Gameiro is still goalless in the La Liga, as he scored the first goal of the season against AS Roma last Wednesday.

The manager Diego Simeone probably cannot count on Juanfran (hamstring injury) and Sime Vrsaljko (back trouble) for the next game, while all other players are healthy and ready to go.

LEVANTE vs. ATLETICO MADRID – Match Prediction

Atleti played very well against AS Roma, and I expect they will win three points against Levante on Saturday evening. The home team is a tough opponent, but I don’t think they have enough quality at the moment to get something from this game.

MY PICK: Atletico Madrid AH +1 (-130)
