St. Louis Cardinals – Cincinnati Reds Preview – 06.09.2016

In the last of a three-game series between the Cincinnati Reds (22-37) and the St. Louis Cardinals (31-28) at the Great American Ball Park, Brandon Finnegan (2-4, 3.89 ERA) and Adam Wainwright (5-4, 5.40 ERA) take the mound. The Cardinals won the last game 12-7, and the series is currently tied 1-1. The game starts at 7:10 p.m. ET on Thursday, Jun. 9 and will air on FSMW and FSOH.

In his last start, Finnegan pitched 6.1 innings, allowing one run, striking out two and walking three in a 7-2 victory over the Nationals. Jay Bruce (.284, 35 Rs, 13 HRs, 41 RBIs, 2 SBs) played well again yesterday, going 2 for 4 with one RBI. The Cardinals were unsuccessful the last time Wainwright pitched. He pitched well, going 7.0 innings, giving up two runs, striking out six and walking one in a 5-1 loss to the Giants. Brandon Moss (.239, 31 Rs, 13 HRs, 29 RBIs) has been doing well offensively for the Cardinals, going 2 for 5 yesterday with two runs, two home runs, and three RBIs.
