LAS VEGAS — The Vegas Golden Knights brought their usual spectacle to T-Mobile Arena for Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final, extending the team’s flair beyond glittery gold jerseys and an over-the-top pregame show to the food offerings inside the building.
Levy Restaurants created several high-end items for the Final, led by the ‘‘Forged in Gold’’ Surf and Turf Loaded Potato. Priced at $60 (season-ticket holders $48), the twice-baked potato fills nearly the entire plate and is topped with a trio of filet mignon, butter-poached lobster and maître d’ butter, and is served with a Golden Knights sword.
The Sin City Lobster Poutine, $45 ($36 for season-ticket holders), uses seasoned waffle fries dotted with garlic-poached lobster chunks and crispy cheese curds smothered in gravy. Some Canadian attendees at Game 3 protested that the dish did not resemble a traditional poutine because of the choice of fries and the way the gravy covered the dish.
For dessert, the Sword in the Stone is an airy pastry filled with mascarpone cream and a mix of strawberries, blueberries and blackberries, topped with caramel and raspberry sauces and a large sugar decoration meant to resemble ice. The pastry is priced at $18.
Also available at the arena is the Vegas Born Roll, not unique to the Final but among the more luxurious regular menu items. The roll, $50 ($40 for season-ticket holders), features seared wagyu beef, snow crab, avocado and chives, finished with edible flakes of gold.
