In their second of five head-to-head meetings this season, the Arizona Coyotes and the Anaheim Ducks collide at the Honda Center for a divisional showdown. The action gets going at 10 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 10, and it’ll be showcased live on Fox Sports Arizona.

Arizona Coyotes vs. Anaheim Ducks Odds

With a -175 moneyline, Anaheim enters the game as the substantial favorite. The line for Arizona sits at +155, and the Over/Under (O/U) is set at 6 goals. The line for betting the total stands at -130 under, +110 over.

Anaheim is 3-0 straight up (SU) and has earned 3.6 units for moneyline bettors this season. That winning percentage, ranked first in the NHL in this young season, is an improvement over the 44-38 record from last year’s regular season campaign.

The Ducks have successfully converted on 25.0 percent of their power play opportunities so far. That’s a noticeable improvement from last season, when they were ranked 24th in the league by scoring on 17.3 percent of their extra-man chances. Their penalty kill has gotten stronger year-over-year as they’ve gone from successfully defending 82.3 percent of opponents’ power plays (ranked fifth overall last season) to 100.0 percent this year.

The Ducks, as a collective unit, have been penalized 3.0 times per game this season. Last year, they posted the third-worst mark in the league with 4.3 penalties per game. After serving an average of 10.2 penalty minutes per game a season ago the team’s had to kill penalties for just 6.0 minutes per matchup this year.

With a .958 save percentage and 30.3 saves per game, the undefeated John Gibson (3-0) has been the best goalkeeper for the Ducks this year.

The Ducks will continue to look for leadership via Jakob Silfverberg and Adam Henrique. Silfverberg (five points) has tallied one goal and four assists while Henrique has one goal and two assists to his credit so far in the early stages of the season.

On the other hand, Arizona is 0-2 straight up (SU) and has lost 2.0 units for moneyline bettors this year. Both of the team’s games this season have gone under.

The Coyotes have recorded a goal on 0.0 percent of their power play chances this year after converting on 16.3 percent of their extra-man opportunities last season (a percentage that was ranked just 27th in the NHL). The team’s gone from killing off 79.4 percent of opponent power plays (ranked 18th overall last season) to 100.0 percent in 2018-19.

Arizona’s skaters have been penalized 3.0 times per game this season. Last season, that number was at 3.3, which was the fifth-lowest mark in the league. After serving an average of 7.8 penalty minutes per game a year ago, the team’s had to kill penalties for 6.0 minutes per matchup this season.

The winless Antti Raanta (20.5 saves per game) has been the primary choice in goal for Arizona. Raanta owns a 0-2 record, while registering a .911 save percentage and 2.02 goals against average this year.
