Marvin Bagley III Leaves Game with Non-Contact Knee Injury

Due to a right knee injury, Marvin Bagley III of the Detroit Pistons has been declared out for the remainder of Tuesday’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. 11:04 into the first quarter at Little Caesars Arena, Bagley slipped on Jalen Williams’ foot and had to be assisted off the ground. As teammates assisted him in walking to the tunnel, his right knee bowed at an uncomfortable angle and he was unable to put any weight on that leg.

 

Bagley was ultimately declared out of the game by the Pistons, who cited merely his knee ailment. According to sources, he will get an MRI. As of yet, no formal comment has been released. At the trade deadline the previous year, Bagley was traded from the Sacramento Kings to Detroit. In 18 games for the Pistons in 2021–2022, he had averages of 14.6 points and 6.8 rebounds.
