The Barclays Daily Fantasy Lineup

The PGA Tour has finally reached the first leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs with the focus shifting dramatically following the final major championship of the season and golf’s return to the Olympics. It’s been an odd month of action in the men’s golf world as we had the event in Rio, where a number of the big names didn’t play, and then there were some smaller events in the PGA Tour, but the big names mostly skipped those events as well. We’ll have to see who if anyone is rusty this week at The Barclays tournament.

The Barclays returns to the famous Bethpage Black as the setting of the start of this year’s playoff and we took the time to break down the field in order to make sure you are ready to make some serious money when it comes to DraftKings tournaments. Here is a look at the optimal lineup for this week’s DraftKings PGA fantasy tournaments.

Jason Day, $12,400

Our selections begin at the very top with the defending champion and obvious sports betting favorite to win this event outright in Day. The world No. 1 is clearly the most expensive option on the board but his numbers are proof that he is worth spending big on in order to have in our lineup. Day hasn’t won since blowing away the field at The Players back in May but he has come close with top-10 finishes at the U.S. Open, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship in his last start. Day has had plenty of time off to rest and prepare for his return to Bethpage and he should be in excellent form when he looks to defend his title this weekend at The Barclays

Si Woo Kim, $8,400

There was bound to be a drop off in the amount of money we have available to spend for our second entry but the difference in price is a lot more dramatic than the drop off in potential from Day to Kim. Kim dominated on his way to a victory at the Wyndham with a 21-under score last week and he has finished in the top-25 in three of his last four starts including a runner-up finish at the Barbasol Championship. At just $8.4K, Kim is an excellent value play for this week’s DraftKings tournaments.

Paul Casey, $7,800

Casey is in outstanding form heading in to this week after registering top-20 finishes in three of his last four starts including a top-10 finish at the PGA Championship. Casey would have finished much better than he did at the Travellers Championship if it wasn’t for a 71 on Sunday and consistency will once again be the key to his success this weekend. Casey has the tools to deliver a strong performance at The Barclays and we are banking on him delivering at a very reasonable price.

Ryan Moore, $7,700

Moore is another excellent value play for this week at just $7.7K, which is a very reasonable price for a golfer that is coming off a win at the John Deere Classic just a couple of weeks ago. Moore has a good history at this course as well including a pair of top-15 finishes and that makes him another solid option for this week’s DraftKings tournaments.

Kevin Na, $7,300

Na represents an excellent sleeper pick this week that should be a lock to slide in to most lineups at just $7.3K. The fact that he is available at such a low price is absolutely ridiculous considering he has registered six straight top-30 finishes including a solo seventh at the U.S. Open. Na has the skill set to deliver another strong performance this week and at such a low price he is the perfect value play.

Kevin Kisner, $6,400

Kisner is coming off a closing 63 at the Wyndham championship that elevated him to a tie for 10th place. There is no doubt he is underpriced after registering three straight top-30 finishes and a combined three top-20 finishes over his last five starts overall. Kisner finished tied for 20th at Plainfield a year ago and he has the potential to match that result this year as a very strong value option in this week’s DraftKings tournaments.
