The World Wrestling Entertainment group has their annual “Money in the Bank” Pay-Per-View this Sunday, and the main event features seven WWE superstars in a match where the winner gets a contract for a world title bout. The match is won by climbing a ladder and grabbing a briefcase holding the contract that is suspended above the ring. The field for the match has Roman Reigns, Dolph Ziggler, Randy Orton, Neville, Kane, Kofi Kingston and Sheamus.
The WWE World Heavyweight champion Seth Rollins faces former teammate Dean Ambrose with the belt on the line. Rollins has been terrific in his “bad guy” role as champion, but he has had a few outings where he has looked bad, and a potential break-up with “The Authority” could be in the works.
The NXT champion Kevin Owens may be the hottest name in the business right now, as he is coming off a win over John Cena at the “Elimination Chamber” pay-per-view. Owens is getting Cena again, and notching another win over the WWE’s poster boy of the last 10 years would be a huge accomplishment for the confident newcomer.
The WWE Intercontinental and Tag Team titles will also be in play, as Ryback defends the Intercontinental Belt against “The Big Show” and Tag titlists the New Day take on the resurgent Prime Time Players with the tag belts on the line. Also, Diva’s champion Nikki Bella faces her arch-rival Paige with the women’s belt on the line.
