The Favorites

Inbee Park +600

The third-ranked golfer on the LPGA Tour has continued to turn heads with her incredible performance to begin 2018. Park finished T-3rd at last week’s LOTTE Championship in Hawaii and if she can stay healthy this season then the sky is the limit. Putting has always been Park’s biggest strength and that will be key again this week in California. Park has all of the tools to contend for the outright win at the inaugural Hugel-JTBC La Open.

Ariya Jutanugarn +800

The No. 6 ranked golfer in the field is coming off back-to-back top-five finishes in the ANA Inspiration and the LOTTE Championship. At the same time, Jutanugarn is still looking for her first win of the season so she should be motivated heading in to this week’s tournament. After showing flashes of her immense potential, this could finally be the week Jutanugarn puts it all together and picks up a win at the Hugel-JTBC La Open.

Next In Line

Lexi Thompson +1200

Thompson finished T-20th in her emotional return to Mission Hills Country Club. Now she will look to carry over the momentum from that strong outing when she makes her first start since the ANA Inspiration this week. Thompson is the top-ranked American in the field and already has two top-10 finishes to her name this season. Thompson could be in an excellent position to pick up her first win of the year this week.

Shanshan Feng +1600

Feng also recorded a T-3rd at the LOTTE Championship last week and will be looking to build on that strong performance that came after three straight weeks outside of the top-20. Feng is still looking for her first win of the season but she does have three top-10 finishes. She will need to produce at a high level more consistently to hold on to the No. 1 ranking moving forward. Perhaps this is the week that she breaks through and captures that elusive victory to solidify her place on top.

Jessica Korda +1600

Korda has been very consistent this season and she should be able to carry over her strong play in to the Hugel-JTBC La Open. Korda has placed in the top-10 in three of her four starts in 2018 including a T-4th in her last outing at the ANA Inspiration. Korda has the talent to win this event outright and at +1600 odds she is available at a decent price.

Sleepers

Brooke Henderson +1800

Henderson had struggled with consistency all season until delivering a win at the LOTTE Championship. Can she double down and make it two victories in as many weeks with a win at the Hugel-JTBC La Open? Henderson has all of the tools but consistency will be the key. At +1800 odds, Henderson is a decent sleeper option this week.

Cristie Kerr +4000

While Kerr hasn’t had the same level of success as Henderson, she did place second in the Kia Classic last month and she has a decent chance to contend at the Hugel-JTBC La Open this week. At +4000 odds, the value is definitely there if you want to take a chance on Kerr as a deeper sleeper option this week. She’s far from a lock to win but there is a chance Kerr could surprise at a decent price as a sports betting option this week.
