The Oklahoma City Thunder and San Antonio Spurs meet Saturday in a winner-take-all Game 7 of the Western Conference finals. The victor will advance to the 2026 NBA Finals to face the New York Knicks.

San Antonio forced the deciding game with a dominant 118-91 victory on Thursday. The 27-point margin was the largest win the Spurs have recorded while facing elimination in franchise history, according to ESPN Research. That result also ranked as the fourth-largest victory by a team facing elimination against the defending champion in NBA history.

Oklahoma City enters Game 7 as the defending NBA champion and is trying to become the first title-holder to return to the Finals since the Golden State Warriors in 2019, when they were pursuing a three-peat. Both the Thunder and the Spurs finished the regular season with the league’s top two records.

Saturday’s matchup carries historical weight beyond the conference: it will be the first Game 7 between the top two teams in the league since the 2002 Western Conference finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and Sacramento Kings. It is the ninth Game 7 contested by the league’s top two teams and the fifth instance of such a meeting occurring in the conference finals.

Coverage will track the game’s key moments and highlights as the Thunder and Spurs play for the Western Conference crown and a trip to the NBA Finals.
