The Minnesota Timberwolves revealed new uniforms, a refreshed logo and two court designs Sunday, the team said in a news release. The organization described the changes as a blend of recognizable franchise elements with the energy and identity of the current roster.
The club’s “association” and “icon” uniforms return to a white, blue and green palette first used in the team’s inaugural 1989-90 season. A black “statement” edition revives the pine tree-era look that has remained popular with fans and differs slightly from the alternate the franchise wore last season, which referenced uniforms from 1998-2008.
Timberwolves & Lynx CEO Matt Caldwell said the redesign was intended to honor elements that have resonated with different generations of fans while reflecting the organization’s present culture and direction. Franchise great Kevin Garnett participated in the unveiling and posed in each of the new uniforms.
Design details include a similar trim and chest mark on the association and icon sets: the classic three-stripe treatment with thick and thin blue and green lines, and numerals and a “Wolves” chest mark influenced by wolf fangs. The statement uniform replaces last season’s “Timberwolves” wordmark in white and black with “Wolves” outlined in glowing blue and green. Pine-tree trim returns with a glowing blue edge inspired by Minnesota’s thousands of lakes. The team also introduced two home-court looks, labeled “statement” and “core,” and a refreshed logo that retains the howling wolf rendered in blue and green similar to the club’s original 1990-96 mark.
The association uniform again features the “Old Shep” logo on the shorts, and all three uniforms add a custom “Tree-M” monogram on the belt buckle and a five-tree lineup above each jock tag, a detail the Timberwolves said is a subtle nod to the starting five. Minnesota exited the 2026 playoffs with a second-round loss to the San Antonio Spurs, ending a two-year run to the Western Conference finals, and the team said it will look to begin a new streak with the refreshed look.
