Top 5 Betting Trends for NFL Week 11

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

After a wild Week 10 in which the underdogs put on a show — with five underdogs winning outright — the focus now shifts to Week 11 as we attempt to stay ahead of the curve by identifying key trends that could show up again in this week’s games. NFL betting enthusiasts are always looking for whatever edge they can get and these numbers should help provide some insight as to what to expect this Sunday. Here is a look at the top 5 betting trends for NFL Week 11.

Indianapolis is 9-1 straight up in its last 10 home games against Tennessee. Titans are 2-8 ATS after two or more consecutive wins.

Sticking with teams on a roll, Indianapolis has won three in a row while Tennessee is coming off back-to-back wins including an impressive victory over the New England Patriots last week. The difference between them could be home field advantage. The Colts are 9-1 straight up in their last 10 home games against the Titans. Andrew Luck and company is coming off a big win over Jacksonville and could catch Tennessee in a potential trap game this week. Indianapolis’ impressive record at home against the Titans includes a 6-1 ATS mark. The Colts could win another close one this week as three-point favorites at home.

The under has hit in eight of the Cowboys’ last nine road games. The under is also 3-0 in dome games for the Cowboys this season.

Dallas shocked the world with a 27-20 win over the Eagles to keep its season alive last week. Now they need to double down on the road in Atlanta in order to do the same again this week. The Cowboys defense stepped up big time in holding Philadelphia to 20 points and now they will try to do the same versus the Falcons. The under is 8-1 in Dallas’ last nine road games and considering the Cowboys’ desire to run the football and control the clock, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the under hits again this week. Atlanta is a 3.5-point favorite for this contest so Dallas could be in line to cover again if it’s another close contest.

Arizona is 5-3-1 against the spread this season. The Raiders have lost five consecutive games both straight up and against the spread. They are 1-6 ATS and 0-7 SU in their last seven as a road underdog of 3.5 to 7 points.

The Cardinals are just 2-7 on the season so it might come as a surprise that they own a 5-3-1 record against the spread so far. Arizona has a good chance to add to that impressive ATS record when they host the Raiders this Sunday. Arizona is listed as a 3.5-point favorite against 1-8 Oakland, which has lost five straight by 14 points or more. That trend of losses by 14 points or more might not continue this week but the Cardinals should score enough to win and cover at home.

The Bears are 5-1 ATS and SU in their last six home games. However, they are 7-15 ATS and 5-17 SU in their last 22 games where the total was between 42.5 and 49 points. The Vikings are 17-7 ATS and SU in their last 24 games in that total range.

All eyes will be on the windy city on Sunday night when they Bears welcome Minnesota to town in a highly anticipated NFC North showdown with temporary control of first place in the division on the line. Chicago is 5-1 straight up and against the spread in its last six home games. The Bears will need to stay hot at home in order to beat a tough Vikings team at Soldier Field. Chicago is getting three points so at the very least they could improve their recent ATS record at home if it’s a close game.

Pittsburgh is 5-0 ATS and SU in its last five games. The Jags haven’t covered once in their last five (0-4-1).

The Steelers are absolutely rolling right now with five straight wins and five straight covers including last week’s 52-21 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football. Pittsburgh has won each of its last five games by at least seven points, including three victories by 15 points or more. Now the Steelers will look to continue that trend when they visit the Jacksonville Jaguars as five-point favorites this week. The Jaguars have trended in the opposite direction with five straight losses. Jacksonville is now 3-5-1 ATS this season. The Jaguars haven’t shown anything to make anybody think they are capable of bouncing back this week so look for Pittsburgh to continue to roll with another win and cover.
