Cincinnati’s Mick Cronin Returns For Senior Day

Cincinnati Bearcats head coach Mick Cronin has been away from the team since Dec. 20 as he deals with an arterial dissection. Cronin handed over head coaching responsibilities to associate head coach Larry Davis for the rest of the 2014-15 season, and has remained in an advisory role with the team since.

On Sunday, Cronin returned in front of the Bearcat’s home crowd for the first time since leaving his post to participate in Senior Day festivities, and received a standing ovation from the Cincinnati fans.

Frank Kaminsky, Badgers Dominate Ohio State

Frank Kaminsky led the way for the Badgers with 20 points and five rebounds, while Bronson Koenig added 15 points and two assists. The win improved Wisconsin’s conference record to 16-2, which tied the school’s record for most conference wins in a season. SMU Wins First Conference Title In 22 Years

The No. 22 SMU Mustangs defeated Tulsa 67-62 in Dallas for the AAC regular season title on Sunday, giving the school it’s first conference title since 1993. The Mustangs were able to overcome a 30 point effort by Tulsa guard James Woodard, eventually taking control late in the second half.

Hall of Fame SMU coach Larry Brown offered up his thoughts after the game about whether or not the Mustangs’ NCAA tournament birth is secure.

“We better get in the NCAA,” Brown said. “I didn’t politick last year. But if we don’t get in, there’s something wrong.”

The Mustangs were the only team in the top five in the AAC that didn’t get in last year after finishing in a three-way tie for third place, which included eventual national champ Connecticut.
