Toronto Blue Jays – Texas Rangers Preview – 05.13.2016

Martin Perez (1-2, 3.51 ERA) and the Texas Rangers (20-15) go up against R.A. Dickey (1-4, 5.17 ERA) and the Toronto Blue Jays (18-18) in the first of a three-game series at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The game starts at 8:05 p.m. ET on Friday, May. 13 and will air on FSSW and RSN.

In his most recent outing, Perez pitched 6.0 innings, giving up two runs, striking out seven and walking five in an 8-3 victory over the Tigers. Nomar Mazara (.314, 16 Rs, 4 HRs, 12 RBIs) continued his strong season Wednesday, going 2 for 2 with one run and one RBI. The Blue Jays were unsuccessful the last time Dickey pitched. He had a good outing, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing four runs (two unearned), striking out three and walking one in a 6-2 loss to the Dodgers. Josh Donaldson (.285, 33 Rs, 9 HRs, 21 RBIs, 3 SBs) has been hitting the ball well for the Blue Jays, going 4 for 6 Wednesday with two runs and one stolen base.
