UC Riverside Highlanders vs. Portland State Vikings ATS Prediction

In the Highlanders’ last outing, they were topped by the Oregon State Beavers, 72-59. Oregon State’s 9.9 turnover percentage was their largest strength over UC Riverside, who had a mark of 15.4. Dikymbe Martin was the top scorer from either team with 20 points on 7-for-11 shooting.

The Vikings lost big to the No. 14 Oregon Ducks in their last contest, 84-57. Getting to the charity stripe was one of Oregon’s largest advantages. They had 33 free throw attempts, while Portland State had just 16. With 11 points and five rebounds, Portland State’s Jamie Orme put together a good game.

The Vikings won the only contest against the Highlanders last season, 94-82. The Vikings had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (45.1 vs. 23.7) and had a better turnover percentage (21.5 vs. 23.4).

The offensive glass should be a major advantage for Portland State in this meeting. Since the 2017-18 season, the Vikings rank 14th in offensive rebounding percentage (35.5 percent), while UC Riverside ranks 300th in defensive rebounding percentage (68.6 percent). It could also be a sloppy game for the Highlanders’ offense, which ranks 267th in ball security (turnover percentage of 19.8 percent). They’ll be going up against the top-notch defense of the Vikings, which has forced the fifth-most turnovers in the country (23.6 percent).
