Trey Sermon (69 rushing yards on 9 attempts, one TD) mounted the running game while Marquise Brown (six receptions, 133 yards, one TD) and CeeDee Lamb (two catches, 43 yards) led the receiving corps in the win.

It seems like the Sooners should hold an edge in terms of efficiency in the ground game, as their backfield generated 5.6 yards per carry last season while the defense allowed 4.4 YPC to opponents. The Bruins ran for 3.7 yards per carry last year while allowing 5.8 YPC to opposing runners..
