UFC Fight Night 73 Odds: Glover Teixeira Enters The Octagon Against Ovince St Preaux

This Saturday night in Memphis, Glover Teixeira faces Ovince St Preaux in a light heavyweight fight that is the main event of the UFC Fight Night 73 event.  Teixeira (22-4) was once one of the division’s most feared fighters, but two losses in a row have sent his stock plummeting.  For St Preaux, he has won two fights in a row and has taken seven of his last eight fights by stoppage.  As surprising as it may seem, St Preaux maybe a win or two away from title contention.

The co-main event in the lightweight division features two streaking fighters as Michael Johnson (16-8) takes on Beneil Dariush (11-1).  Johnson has won four fights in a row, including his last match against Edson Barbosa in February which came after a year-long layoff.  Dariush is also riding a four-fight winning streak, and he is coming off an April win over veteran Jim Miller.

At middleweight, veteran Sam Alvey (26-6) faces Derek Brunson (13-3).  Alvey is on a three-fight winning streak in the UFC, but Brunson has gone 4-1 in the UFC against far superior competition than Alvey has faced.

In the heavyweight division, Jared Rosholt (12-2) clashes with Timothy Johnson (9-1).  Rosholt is 4-1 in the UFC, and he is trying to win a second fight in a row here after his November loss to Alexey Oleinik.

Johnson won his first UFC fight this past April by TKO over Shamil Abdurakhimov, and he has not lost a fight since March of 2011.
