Updated Stanley Cup Odds Entering Conference Finals

Stanley Cup

The conference finals are set in the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs. That means now is the last chance to get in on the futures before the games get underway. The Tampa Bay Lightning will face the Washington Capitals in the Eastern Conference, while the Vegas Golden Knights take on the Winnipeg Jets in the Western Conference. Here is a look at the futures for the Stanley Cup with the odds courtesy of BetDSI.

Winnipeg Jets

Odds To Win Stanley Cup: +230

The Jets eliminated Nashville in a seven-game series that went back and forth, including a huge 5-1 win on the road in Game 7. Mark Scheifele was on fire in this series, racking up seven goals and four assists for 11 points, and all seven of his goals came on the road. Blake Wheeler had two goals and nine assists for 11 points as well, while Paul Stastny added five goals and five assists for ten points for the Jets. Connor Hellebuyck gave up 18 goals and had a save percentage of .929 for the Jets, who dropped two of three meetings with Vegas during the regular season.

Tampa Bay Lightning

Odds To Win Stanley Cup: +250

The Lightning lost Game 1 at home to Boston, then won the next four to move on to the next round. Brayden Point had a big series against the Bruins with three goals and four assists for seven points, and he now has four goals and six assists for ten points. That ties Point with Steven Stamkos (three goals, seven assists) for second behind Nikita Kucherov, who has six goals and six assists for 12 points. Goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy allowed 12 goals against the Bruins and had a save percentage of .909; that number is .927 for the playoffs. They met Washington three times this season, winning two of the games.

Vegas Golden Knights

Odds To Win Stanley Cup: +300

The Golden Knights needed six games to beat San Jose, getting a big series from Reilly Smith, who had a goal and seven assists for eight points. Jonathan Marchessault was fantastic with four goals and five assists for nine points in the series, while William Karlsson had three goals and five assists for eight points. Marc-Andre Fleury gave up 14 goals in six games, although it was really in four games as he pitched two shutouts against the Sharks. He also had a save percentage of .935 in the series, and now it is .951 for the playoffs. Fleury leads all goalies in goals against avergae and save percentage.

Washington Capitals

Odds To Win Stanley Cup: +300

The Capitals finally beat Pittsburgh after losing to them in each of the last two postseasons as they took out the two-time defending champions in six games. Alex Ovechkin had three goals and four assists for seven points, while Evgeny Kusnetsov added three goals and three assists, including the series winner. The Capitals should be concerned over Nicklas Backstron, who missed Game 6 with a hand injury. The Capitals will be keeping a close eye on that heading into their opener with the Lightning. Braden Holtby allowed 13 goals in six games with a save percentage of .921. He’ll have to be even better against the Lightning.
