USC Men’s Tennis Enters NCAA Super Regional with 12-Game Win Streak

No. 13 USC is coming off a 15th consecutive winning start to NCAA Team play, and the Trojans will be making yet another trip to the NCAA Round of 16. The USC (23-5) will travel to Columbus, Ohio, on Saturday at 12 p.m. ET to face No. 4 seed Ohio State (26-3). (May 14). The victor of this match will advance to the NCAA Championships in Champaign, Illinois, from May 19-22.

The Trojans began 2022 rated ninth in the country, an improvement from their final ranking of tenth in 2021. As of the most recent ITA National Team Rankings (published on May 4), USC is ranked thirteenth in the nation.

Individual rankings were also published on May 4, with four Trojans rated in singles. The junior Stefan Dostanic is ranked seventh in the nation. On the list, he is accompanied by #56 Peter Makk, #105 Bradley Frye, and #117 Lodewijk Weststrate. Dostanic and Frye are now ranked seventh in the nation in doubles, while Makk and Weststrate are ranked 76th.

USC is currently participating in its 15th consecutive NCAA Tournament and 43rd total tournament under the guidance of head coach Brett Masi in his third year at the helm. With a current overall record of 23-5, the No. 12-seeded Trojans have advanced to at least the NCAA Round of 16 in 15 consecutive tournaments. USC continues to lead the country with 21 national championships and an NCAA Tournament record of 110-37 after capturing five NCAA titles since 2009.
