In the Aggies’ last game, they were defeated by the Fresno State Bulldogs, 78-77. Fresno State’s 12.7 turnover percentage was their largest advantage over Utah State, who had a rate of 15.0. The Bulldogs’ mark was better than their season average of 16.3. Neemias Queta was Utah State’s leading scorer with 16 points on 6-for-6 shooting.

The Cowboys were blown out by the San Diego State Aztecs in their last matchup, 84-54. San Diego State’s offensive rebounding percentage was their biggest strength over Wyoming. The Aztecs had a rate of 26.9 (below their season average of 30.9), while the Cowboys posted a mark of 13.2 (below their season average of 19.0). With 18 points on 5-for-14 shooting, Justin James was Wyoming’s leading scorer.

After the Cowboys won both meetings against the Aggies last season, these teams will battle for the first time this year. In the last contest, Wyoming won 83-65. The Cowboys had a much better offensive rebounding percentage (18.2 vs. 9.7) and had a much better turnover percentage (11.7 vs. 18.9).

The ineffective offense of Wyoming (317th in the nation with an offensive efficiency of 96.2) will clash against the elite defense of Utah State (23rd in the nation with a defensive efficiency of 91.3). The Aggies should have the edge on that end of the court.
