Video Blog: Combat Sport Betting Weekend Results

Underdog Robbie Lawler held off Johny Hendricks at UFC 181.

The results are in for our ongoing Combat Sports Betting blog series.  Last weekend was a busy one for boxing and MMA, and our veteran blogger Miguel Iturrate placed four bets on on this weekend’s action.

The big bets were split, one for UFC and one for boxing, as Iturrate bet underdog Robbie Lawler (+180) over Johny Hendricks in the main event at UFC 181.  The fight was the second meeting between the two men, and though Hendricks won the first meeting, Lawler had done nothing but win since to set up the re-match.  After Lawler’s win, a third bout between the two men is inevitable.

The second bet that paid off was taking David Lemieux over Gabriel Rosado in the main event of the boxing card held at the Barclay’s Center.  Lemieux improved his record to (33-2) with 31 stopapges to his credit as Rosado did not get out of the 10th round, and at middleweight, Lemieux is looking to step up in to a big fight next.  Did anyone say Gennady Golovkin?

Take a look at the complete results.  Heading into next weekend, the bank sits at roughly $2,00o heading into a big weekend for boxing next weekend.
