Video Blog: Previewing Frank Mir vs Bigfoot Silva

The UFC Fight Night “Mir vs Bigfoot” is scheduled for Feb. 22 in Brazil, and the main event features heavyweights Frank Mir and Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva in a fight that sees Silva coming in as the favorite.

The rest of the matches on the card, even the main card, do not have lines up at the sport books yet, however expect the rest of the card’s lines to pop up at some point early next week.  With the card in Brazil, there is a lot of brazilian talent, but the main card of this show is packed with a lot more talent than the Colorado show Feb 14, which just fell apart for them and really could not be saved.

Of particular interest on the main card is a pair of competitive lightweight bouts as Edson Barbosa takes on Michael Johnson and Rustam Khabilov faces off against Adriano Martins.  Both Barbosa and Martins will clearly have the ‘homefield’ advantage heading into the bouts, but it will be intersting to see if they emerge as the favorites when the lines hit next week.  Johnson has been off for almost a year, and Khabilov is coming off a loss to Benson Henderson in a step up fight.
